The scene opens to Curtis in the center of the IIW ring. The arena is empty and all the lights are on. Curtis starts running the ropes. Russell Wayne is sitting in a chair on the outside of the ring. Curtis stops running the ropes as Russell Wayne throws him a water bottle.
Curtis - Thanks Mr Wayne.
Russell - Anytime hydration is important when working out.
Curtis opens the water taking a sip then throws the bottle back to Russell. Curtis starts doing burpies in-between hitting the ropes. He does a set of 10 then Russell throws him the water bottle again.
Curtis - Sometimes working out in the ring is the only way to truly clear my head. It feels like this is the only place where I can truly be myself. That's probably saying a lot about who I am as a person and why I am the way I am but this wrestling ring right here is truly my happy place.
Russell - I get that completely. Plus it does wonders to keep you in ring shape.
Curtis - Yes it does. Also Mr Wayne I really do need to thank you for everything this last few weeks. I don't know how I could have gotten through it all without you. You really helped me clear my head and move on with life after the passing of Rose, my dear friend. Coming off a huge loss at Red Alert and then losing one of my closest friends put me in a really dark place but you helped me see the light and I will never forget you for that.
Russell - You were there for me when no one else was. You knew I was hurting when even I wouldn't have admitted it openly. We are Team Friendship Curtis and I will always be there for you.
Curtis - So no one told you life was gonna be this way?
Curtis claps
Russell - Your jobs a joke, you're broke, your love life's DOA?
Russell claps
Curtis - It's like you're always stuck in second gear?
Russell - When it hasn't been your day, your week or even your year?
Russell jumps out of his chair outside of the ring sliding under the bottom rope and throwing his arm around Curtis as both men scream.
I'll be there for you (When the rain starts to pour) I'll be there for you (Like I've been there before) I'll be there for you ('Cause you're there for me too)
Both men laugh.
Curtis - I am so glad that I made my life's mission to help you become a better person because we never would have gotten to where we are today. You have helped me equally as much as I have helped you and for that I thank you Mr. Wayne. I never imagined I would gain a best friend the way I have with you. I just assumed I would help you get past everything that happened in your life and make you a better person than we would part ways. I never assumed our friendship would grow to what it is today. The most dominant friendship and tag team in the IIW. I'm truly blessed
Russell - Trust me no one is more shocked by our friendship than me. But I am glad it happened. It's made you and I both better men.
Curtis opens the water taking a sip.
Curtis - We really need to discuss what happened at the end of your mayhem match last week. What the heck is going on? 3 masked men get in the ring and come after me specifically. I don't understand it.
Russell - That's neither here nor there. 3 mask men attacking a wrestler in the ring is pretty much par for the course in any wrestling company especially here in the IIW. We are the tag team champions here. They are clearly trying to become the most dominant faction and need our belts to make that happen. To me that's the long and short of it.
Curtis - That's very true I bet they are also super jealous of our friendship. We do have a huge target on our back being the tag team champions here but I'm OK with that that just means we get to show off how dominant of a team we really are.
Russell - What we really need to talk about is what is Bam Miller's agenda?
Curtis - You know I have said it now for a really long time that deep down bam is a good person. I don't really know why he came out to save me and you but he did and that's what I care about most. No one else in this company came down to that ring to save us. Everyone else just sat in the back and watched it happen but not Bam Miller. He saw an injustice happening to someone that at one point was his friend and decided he needed to take action.
Russell - That may all be true but Dude he was sleeping with your mother.
Curtis - I will still stand behind my theory that it was doctored footage. I don't believe any relations with my mother actually happened. They were very close because he was left in the dumpster as a baby and needed a mothering figure in his life and there is no one better than my mother Jenny. No one and nothing will be able to convince me otherwise.
Russell - I'll say it again your ability to look at the world with rose colored glasses on at all times absolutely amazes me Curtis. No matter what you choose to believe about the relations that may or may not have happened you have an opportunity here. Bam has said and done some truly heinous things to you. I believe he had sex with your mother. Him coming to the ring and helping us last week on Mayhem doesn't erase what he has done in the past in my book.
Curtis - What he did last week on Mayhem was an olive branch Mr. Wayne. He was showing us his heart and showing us that he has changed himself and he is willing to atone for his past actions. Do not get me wrong though whether I believe he is a friend or not when I step in that ring with Bam next Mayhem I am going to win. I'm not going to let any of what has happened in the past or what has recently happened clog my head and play mind games with me.
Russell - I know you won't. I just want to see you beat Bam Miller and put all of this behind us.
Curtis - Whether you decide to like him or hate him after the match is over You know how I plan to view this opportunity that I have in this match.
Russell - You're going to try to help him aren't you?
Curtis - This is the way Mr. Wayne
Russell - Sadly from everything you have shown me I agree with you. Take every opportunity you can to help someone by any means necessary.
Curtis - That's exactly what I plan on doing. Bam Miller has lost his way here as of late. He has been very flighty and absent minded and basically not even present at all. He was a good friend of mine last year and I will never forget The Times we shared. We even flew to Ecuador to wrestle a match over there and it was the time of my life. I rode in the sidecar of his motorcycle. It was so much fun to feel the wind through my hair.
Russell - That was the Bam Miller of last year. He isn't the same as he was then Curtis. I need you to understand this. Obviously I want you to try to help him because that's what you do best but I don't want to see you get hurt if it doesn't work.
Curtis - I fully understand that he's not the same person that he was last year Mr. Wayne. But the fact that he came in and risked his own safety to help us out shows me he is willing to get back to the person that he was before. I have full confidence that I can change him and make him the man he used to be. Well the man that he was last year because prior to last year he was definitely not the type of person I want to associate myself with. So I need to work to get him to be the man he was last year when he was with me but not when he was feuding with my father and not who he was after my friendship with him ceased to exist for some reason unbenounced to me.
Russell - I'm usually very good at understanding Curtis speak but even I have to say I have no idea what you just said. That made absolutely no sense to me.
Curtis - Basically I need him to be who he was when he was friends with me. When we were the tag team known as Nice N Hammered he was the best version of himself that I have ever seen and I need to work to get him back to that version of himself.
Russell - So you just tag up with anybody who you help change for the better don't you?
Curtis - Not to the success that I have with you my friend.
Russell - That's definitely true. We go together like Spaghetti and meatballs.
Curtis - I prefer Lamb and Tunafish
Russell - You would.
Curtis takes another sip of water then looks directly into the camera.
Curtis - Bam I want you to watch me and listen to every word I have to say. Your actions over the last few months have been absolutely abysmal. We were boy's man I don't even know what the heck happened to us. One minute we are traveling in the world wrestling as a team and the next you are turning your back on me and dropping me like I did something wrong to you. I don't even know what the heck happened.
Russell - I happened.
Curtis - What no.
Russell - It's true Curtis don't you remeber the match I had with Bam. Plus look at the timing of everything you and Bam were super tight and very close and then you and me had our match. You decided to make it your life's mission to help me because you already helped Bam a decent amount. You started devoting all of your time to my life and what was important to me and you kind of put bam on the back burner that must have set him off.
Curtis - Oh my gosh I think you're right Mr. Wayne.
Russell - I usually am Curtis.
Curtis - Bam if I offended you or upset you in any way it was never my intention and I am deeply sorry for any pain that I may have caused you. But I want it to be stated for the record right now when I am friends with someone we are friends for life. I would never turn my back on one of my friends and I don't care what they've done to me. I value friendship and loyalty above all else. I am absolutely devastated to think that my actions may have caused you to relapse to be the person you were prior to me. But it seems just maybe there is a little bit of the old Bam Miller that I know hidden deep down because you saved us. You didn't need to risk your neck getting in that ring and helping us but you did. That shows me deep down the man that I respect is in there.
Russell - I understand all of this is needed. I get you are hurt by Bam's actions in the past because he was hurt by your actions but that doesn't change that you guys have a match coming up on the next Mayhem. It's the main event I might add.
Curtis - I can't wait to get in that ring and get my hands on Bam Miller. And give him a big hug and tell him I'm sorry if I hurt him. That's when the referee will ring the bell and Bam can take out all of the frustrations he has had with me because of my relationship with you Mr. Wayne. I will also be able to take out all of my frustrations over the way bam has treated me and everyone else in this company over the last few months. We will be able to beat each other from pillar to post in that ring. I know I'm bringing my absolute best to that ring and I hope you will do the same. No one hits you harder than 1 of your best friends. I plan on hitting you as hard as a Mac truck driving down the interstate and I expect you to hit me equally as hard. I'm not going to make this match easy on you. I am going to make sure that I show the world that I am the best wrestler in it. We both need to air a few grievances out and it's going to get incredibly physical in that ring Bam and I look forward to that. Family fights, it happens to everyone but there is no one you'd rather fight with than your family. Come Mayhem next week we will lay it all out on the table once that bell rings we will stand toe to toe and look each other in the eyes then unload every last bit of frustration we have and the best man will have his hand raised at the end of that match. Don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I will be the best man with my hand raised. Once that bell rings to end the match I'm going to stand up and extend my hand and hope from the bottom of my heart that you will shake my hand Bam Miller and we can put this whole ugly disgusting saga behind us.
Russell - So what you're saying is team friendship could grow by one at the end of next Mayhem.
Curtis - What I'm saying is I'm going to do everything in my power to guarantee the team friendship grows by one member. Mr. Wayne no one ever imagined we'd be standing in this ring today as best friends. I will make sure with every fiber of my being that at the end of next Mayhem I'm standing here with not only you by my side but Bam Miller as well. These are the wrestling matches that I get very excited about. They are very personal and mean everything to both of us involved. Neither myself or Bam is going to want to lose this match. We are going to go all out to ensure that we are Victorious because when the dust settles there's no more beef. There's no more matches after this. This is the one and only opportunity we have to air all of our grievances and frustrations to get to the bottom of the problem so we can move forward. I know that once I hit the C bomb it's all over for Bam Miller in the middle of that ring one at ring 1 2 3. Trust me I know just how good Bam Miller is and I am ready for the challenge. In fact I welcome the challenge. I love when my opponent is as good as Bam is because that will push me to be better than I am right now. Bam is going to push me to the next level and that's exactly what I need if I wanna get back on the track to the world title. Bam Miller I can't wait to stand toward the ring with you. It's been a long time coming old friend but it's finally happening and I'm darn excited.
Russell - You do always want to fight the best to push yourself to be better than you already are.
Curtis - I'm like Goku man. I want to fight the strongest and the best to make sure I get to a whole new level of ability. The only way to get better is to fight. I need to earn it and push myself further than I ever thought I could. I lost my shot at the title and this is the new road I must take to get back. This is the first step on my journey back to the top of the IIW. I will stop at nothing to get back there.
Russell - I love when you get fired up Curtis. Because it's not something you show the world too often.
Curtis - It's definitely not something I show the world. I keep that bottled up way down inside and I only open that bottle when it is absolutely necessary. Next Monday night Mayhem that bottle is being opened because I need every ounce of intensity that I have if I wanna stand toe to toe with Bam Miller.
Russell - You got this man. I have faith in you.
Curtis - And that means the world to me Mr. Wayne. I would like you to do me a favor as well. I know he's your partner but make sure Fred knows that Team Friendship is not afraid of the Debonair family in any way. We respect them as competitors and as fellow wrestlers and their ability in this ring but we are the tag team champions for a reason.
Russell - Believe me I can and will deliver that message.
Curtis - And look don't enjoy being his partner too much I don't want you to go and leave joining up with that weird witch family OK.
Russell - Trust me there is absolutely no way that's going to happen.
Curtis - All this training and talking has got me hungry. Let's go get some tacos or something.
Russell - Man that's the best thing you set all day let's roll.
Curtis and Russell Wayne step through the middle ropes and walk alongside the ramp to the backstage area. The scene fades to black.

Manchester UK IIW Arena After the show
Michael Morrison is walking quickly towards the IIW parking lot, as he reaches the Parking deck area he sees Bam Miller putting on his helmet as he gets ready to jump on his black Harley Davidson. Michael quickly jogs towards and as he approaches, Bam notices him and sits down on his bike as Michael finally catches up and starts trying to catch his breath.
Bam Miller: What's your rush, Michael?
Bam laughs out loud as Michael finally recovers his wind.
MM: Yes... One moment... Ok, I'm good, so Bam Miller it's been some weeks since we last saw you in an IIW wrestling ring since taking that defeat to Jonny FnC. Why is it you that you returned and helped Team Friendship after all you've done to burn that bridge?
Bam Miller smirks.
Bam Miller: Look Morrison I've made some choices that some people didn't like and maybe looking back on things I probably shouldn't have hit Curtis over the head with a beer bottle but since I've been away I had some time to reflect and you know what I realized Michael?
Michael looks at Bam with a curious facial expression as he raises his right eyebrow.
MM: What's that Miller?
Bam Miller: I realized I was dealing with my own demons that I was blaming on Curtis. I put him as the fault of my own failures. I looked at him going on having success with Russell Wayne as a slight at me and my failures to win another Championship since that long time ago as Hollywood Champion which is retired now so that tells you long it been and that's messed with my psyche it was like I had a dark cloud over my head and the only way I knew how to deal with my demons was drinking.
Bam's facial expression gets serious.
Bam Miller: The drinking got out of hand a little but I manage to bring myself back from the Abyss and look at life with clearer eyes and once I was able to focus and get back to being the ass-kicker around here who loves a good fight I saw how I could apologize to Team Friendship and get me a good fight in my return. You see I was sitting in my home back in New York and saw the chaos that went down at Red Alert. I just knew I had to come back for the first Mayhem of the new year and see exactly who thought they could kick my friend's asses. That's my job, I'm the only one that gets to put my boot up their rectum. So I sat and waited and caught me a couple of idiots in the name of The Purge who haven't been around since losing those Tag Team Titles but it's nice to see you boys are still around and I'll handle my business with all of you real soon but come next Mayhem I need to make things right with Curtis. I'm going to talk to Bob Mitchell about a match for the next Mayhem between Curtis and me. So we can bury the hatchet once and for all and get back to being good friends again.
Bam Lights up a cigarette.
MM: Thank you for your time Miller, we can't wait to see you back in action.
Bam nods his head then blows the smoke in the face of Morrison who chokes on it why Bam speeds out of the parking lot as the scene fades out.

2:00 p.m. Manchester UK Ste Davis Radio Show
Ste Davis and both Bam Miller sit across from each other wearing headsets and some microphones sit in front of them as the lights in the studio light up and they go on the air.
Ste Davis: Ladies and Gentlemen thank you for tuning in today for a special show with Bam Miller on the air today as we talk about his return and upcoming match with his longtime friend and rival Curtis. Thanks for coming Bam.
Bam Miller: Thank You Ste, feels good to be back in IIW now that I'm good mentally and Physically. I'm at a point now in my career where winning Championships is the only thing that matters to me and I can't wait to put some gold back around me.
Ste Davis: Sounds good mate, now let's dive into your match coming up with Curtis. You requested this match after saving him and Russell last week. Why do that?
Bam Miller: Well it's like this I busted the man over the head and made him bleed, he deserves an opportunity to TRY and kick my ass back before we can be friends again and move onto The Purge who needs an ass whooping.
Ste Davis: That they do, now did you catch what Curtis had to say about you the other day?
Bam Miller: I did actually, I saw the whole damn thing, and let me address Mr. Wayne if you don't Ste.
Ste Davis: Go ahead sir the mic is yours.
Bam Miller: Wayne I understand why you hesitate to trust when it comes to Curtis but look in the mirror buddy not too long ago you were a lost child mad at the world before Curtis took you under his wing and showed you how beautiful the world actually is compared to what you thought after your family died. So when you talk about me and all the actions I've taken that people don't like just remember all the guys you put in a hospital bed and stopped them from getting a check to provide for the families. Because those are the consequences of all your Workplace accidents you've caused over your career here in IIW, so for the sake of me and Curtis getting back on the right foot I kindly ask you to shut the hell up and let the two men who will battle in the ring battle on the microphones.
Bam Miller pulls out a Miller Lite beer and offers Ste one but motions with his hands that he's good. Bam takes a sip then places his beer back down.
Bam Miller: Now let me respond to Curtis, I appreciate you for being the open-minded person you are and always seeing the best in people, and I thank you for your forgiveness but I know deep down inside you everything isn't over until we decide who the better man is because why we are both willing to kill the beef between us that I'm mostly responsible for we both know this can't end without a fight. I busted you over the head and made you have to lay in the hospital why they take pieces of broken glass out of your skin. I did that and why did you put on that smile and talk about the good times and how you can't wait to have that back. I know you can't wait to get your hands on me in the ring. You know how I know that Ste?
Ste Davis: Can't say I do Mate but I'm sure you'll tell me and all the fans that are listening.
Bam Miller: Because I know Curtis underneath all the Peace and Love he displays. He's a competitor and more importantly a fighter just like me no matter what punishment Curtis took in life he always bounced back as I did. That's why we clicked so well because we don't quit we don't give up when the odds get tall and the pressure builds up. We don't bust like pipes when it comes to pressure we come out like Diamonds. So I know come Monday Night Mayhem Curtis is going to bring me everything's he's got to win this match. I know how much Fire he has in him and I know it won't t be easy to knock him off but I am walking into Mayhem to knock his fucking head off.
Ste Davis: Jesus Bam this is supposed to be a friendly contest between friends why so aggressive?
Bam Miller: Because the Friendship can not be fixed until we get the hostility out the way. I already know we are going to have the match of the night because we are that damn good and everyone else is in second place when it comes to putting a show for the fans because we never cheat the game we always give it our all and that's why I'm telling you I know this match will come down to the wire. It will be technical, hard-hitting, jaw-dropping, and brutal. We will remind you of two guys that simply want to push the other to their best because we just want goo beat the best. So Curtis knows if I hit Miller Time it's over for him and my finisher is a lot quicker.
Bam takes a sip out of his beer.
Bam Miller: So open up that bottle Curtis and buckle up because we are going to have the match everyone looks back on and say on January 31, 2022, Bam Miller and Curtis fought outside the ring, inside the ring, with the fans, And took what was supposed to be one the greatest matches of all time turned it into biggest knocked down drag it out brawl you'll ever see in your life. I'll be seeing you soon Curtis, Ste I'm out thank you for your time.
Ste Davis: Well that's all for today folks thanks for tuning in today.
Bam Miller stands up, grabs the Miller Lite beer, and takes a sip as the scene fades out.

The scene opens Curtis walking down the street. He is walking down on the sidewalk wearing a yellow reflective vest as the sun is starting to go down he also has a backpack on. Safety first always.
Curtis - Bam you have really given me a lot to think about this last week man. Your past transgressions have been shocking to say the least. You really have said and done some wild stuff. It's hurt my feelings on a level not many have been able to. I still have nightmares of the night that you hit me in the head with a beer bottle. I'm a positive person Bam you know that better than anyone. You have made it very hard over the last few months to look at the bright side of all of this. I have the ability to look at most situations and see the good in it but you have really tested that ability. Never in my life have I had to think twice about forgiving someone. It scared me Bam it really did. I had many un-Curtis- like thoughts. Thoughts that scared me to my core. It took me a long time and lots of self reflection but I got to where I needed to be. I'm a better man than that and I won't let you break me Bam. I know what you're trying to do and it came super close to working but it's to working but I'm better than that. I was able to push all of the dark thoughts right out of my head. I was able to get to a place where I forgive you. I do 100% forgive you Bam but don't you ever think for one second I will forget what you did.
Curtis stops then leans down picking a dandelion from the grass. He stands back up and blows the flower sending little white puffs rocketing into the air. He watches them fly and smiles. He begins walking again.
Curtis - I've told you for as long as I have known you that your drinking was an issue. I saw the toll it was taking on you physically and mentally but you were stubborn and argued that point. You claim that you have that all under control now and I couldn't be happier. I am not the type of person to say I told you so, so I won't. I'm honestly proud of you Bam from the bottom of my heart I mean that. I know what you have been through in your life that lead to your rock bottom. I know how hard it can be to overcome the demons of addiction. Especially in a business that's insanely notorious for it. We have all lost friends way too soon due to addiction and I for one and glad you won't be one of those names. Yes you hurt me deeply with your actions but I never wished ill will toward you. I always hoped that one day you would overcome it all and revert back to the Bam Miller I knew and loved. I knew deep down that being on you to change wouldn't help. I knew it would only piss you off but I couldn't give up hope on you. I knew you needed someone to show you they cared. Even after you tried to workplace accident me with a bottle I didn't respond with violence. I did something that I knew would hurt you even more than that. I went fully hands off. I cut all ties completely and stopped trying. Something that I have never done to anyone before. It was hard on me but I knew I was best for you. I wanted nothing more than to be the one that would be able to help you through this but I knew deep down you needed me to pull away. You needed to be able to look yourself in the mirror and make the decision that you wanted to change and be better. On the surface it would appear that you've gotten to this point and I couldn't be happier for you.
Curtis sees an empty playground and begins making his way over to it.
Curtis - They always say if you love something let it go. That's exactly what I did and it worked. You came back to me a changed man. You woke up one day and realized you needed to change your way and make amends for your actions. I'm not going to lie. I was absolutely shocked to see you hit that ring and make the save for us. You're the last person I ever thought would be the one to step up and help us. I was elated when I saw you where the one standing tall, running off the new Purge. I thought to myself IT'S ABOUT DARN TIME. Like I said I had always hoped you would wake up, see the error of your ways and change. Looks like heck has frozen over because here we are. I do have to admit that I'm glad to see you're still the lovable butthole that I befriended a year ago. You are a deeply flawed individual Bam but that is why you are the way you are. You seem to have overcome your demons that pushed you over the edge into a severely dark place. I'm just glad to see you are the same person and have the capability of showing good character like I know you can. I never wanted to see you change who you were as a person in general just a few hot button issues that created many problems for you in your life. And as of late created many problems for me and my life.
Curtis walks over to the swing set and takes a seat on one of the swings.
Curtis - All of that being said Bam there's a few things that I still need to address. You seem to have taken a huge issue with Mr. Wayne. I had hoped with your change of heart you would have found a way to get over that deep seated jealousy you hold towards him. But it would appear that that is not the case yet. That's fine I understand that things take time to fully heal and change and I'm willing to work with you on that. But you don't need to be nearly as hostile towards Mr. Wayne as you are. I know you've said you don't blame him for not fully trusting you but that is no reason to throw his past actions in his face the way that you did. He has come a long way from the person that he used to be and he has shown 0 signs of going back to being that person. It wasn't too long ago that you changed for the better and then relapsed back to who you were prior. Mr. Wayne has shown no signs of reverting back to being the man that would cause workplace accidents for many people. If anything he has shown great remorse for his prior actions and is doing everything in his power to make amends and help out the people that he has once hurt deeply. I know that the 3 of us can and will become the best of friends. You've shown great promise and your ability to change Bam and I appreciate that I really do but you're not fully there yet. Once you can move past the jealousy of Mr. Wayne the 3 of us can become an unstoppable force in the IIW. You gave my father the business just a few short months ago. I know he has not forgotten that. He is now the world champion here and you hold a victory over him that puts you in a phenomenal position. With you going after the world title and Mr. Wayne and I being the most dominant tag team this company has ever seen, we really show promise at being the best trio to ever set foot in the IIW. Mr. Wayne might not trust you fully Bam and who can blame him but he doesn't hold any ill will or resentment to you for the actions from your past.
Curtis begins kicking his feet a little bit causing himself to swing back and forth.
Curtis - When you were talking to Mr. Davis, you brought up a few very valid points. You are 100% correct that we will not be able to move past this issue between you and I until we meet in that ring. You also said you knew it would be the match of the night and I agree with you that it absolutely will steal the show in every way. I'm not going to lie Bam this one is very personal to me. I am going to do everything in my power to put you down in the center of that ring and make sure I walk away victorious. I know how good you are but on the other hand you know how good I am. You know the great lengths I will go to to make sure I show the world and everyone who believes in me that I can and will change people for the better. This match has been a long time coming, we all know that. Pretty much since the moment we met we have been on a collision course leading up to this very moment. I'm actually incredibly shocked that it has taken this long to get to this point especially after the vicious beating you laid into me a few weeks back. I ended up in the hospital Mr. Miller. Say what you will about me or claim you did things with my mother, what have you but you know how much you hurt me physically and mentally and I know deep down that it bothers you. I know that you didn't fully think through the actions of that fateful night. I know you didn't walk away from there looking back at me laying in the ring helpless and think wow I did good tonight. I have to believe you are a bit remorseful about what you did. I never gave up on you Bam and I'm not going to start now. But this time it's going to be what I like to call my special brand of tough love. You did what you felt you needed to do a few weeks back and now it's my turn to do what I feel I need to do. My intention is to not hurt you Bam but if it happens it happens because I will do everything in my power to make sure you see the light. I'm going to do everything I can to make sure you're well aware of what happens when you take a cheap shot at my head with a beer bottle. I saw you tell Mr. Davis you want me to open up the bottle with all of my aggressions and all of my impure thoughts and let it spill out. That might not be what you actually want to happen Bam. No one here has ever seen what happens when I let myself become unhinged. It's been a good number of years since that's even come close to happening and I feel myself boiling over at this point. If you wanted to bring out the worst in me Bam you've come darn close to making that happen.
Curtis jumps off the swing. He walks around the park for a few moments then sits on the bench across from the swirly slide.
Curtis - That slide over there is my favorite one in the entire town. I definitely go down it all the time I'm not going to right now but I will return with no cameras and enjoy the excitement I feel going down that slide. For as long as I've known you Bam you've done nothing but tell everyone that deep down inside of me there is a darkness. You've told everyone that would listen to you that there was a lot more to me than just this whole nice guy act. You didn't outright call my positivity a gimmick but you have alluded to it many times. I've argued that point till I've been blue in the face every single time you've said it. I'm beginning to think you might be right just a little bit on that. The profession of wrestling that we both love so much is a very cut throat and dangerous profession. I don't think I would have made it this long if there wasn't just a tad bit of darkness deep down inside of me. When push comes to shove I will do what needs to be done to make sure that I'm victorious and get to the top of the mountain in every single federation that I am in. I've done everything in my power to make sure that that darkness never comes out fully and I promise you it never will. You say you want me to open that bottle of emotional damage that I keep way down inside of me I don't know if that'll ever happen fully. I grew up the son of Osh Vaughn and InFamous Jonny C. That bottle is packed full of emotional damage Bam. I'm sure I'm just as emotionally damaged as you are deep down inside but I'm much better at hiding it from the world than you are. I could have ended up like you, an angry disgruntled drunk but I chose a different path. I'm not saying that your path was wrong in any way it was just very different than mine. We find ourselves at an intersection where our paths are crossing whether we like it or not. Honestly though I feel we both like it a little bit OK maybe a lot a bit. You're right it's high time that we find out who the better wrestler is. As you said we can't move on until we do just that very thing.
Curtis polls a bottle of fruit punch out of his yellow vest pocket. He opens the bottle and takes a huge sip.
Curtis - Bam you're going to see me like you've never seen me before. Angry. Anger is an emotion that I try to hide from everyone because I don't like myself when I'm angry and I don't think you will like me when I'm angry. Wow I just made myself sound like The Incredible Hulk. In some ways maybe we are a bit similar me and The Incredible Hulk only time will tell I guess. When that bell rings I'm going to give it my all and I'm going to do everything I can to put you down Mr. Miller. I'm going to push all of the happy memories we have shared together over this past year aside and only concentrate on you swinging that bottle at my head. You forced me to let my rage out just a little bit and I'm even nervous to see what happens when that happens. I don't think you're fully ready for the consequences of your actions Mr. Miller. You've never even seen me mildly irritated let alone fall out aggravated. Buckle up Mr. Miller it's going to be one heck of a ride. All I need to do is keep replaying the image of you hitting me in the head and hospitalizing me with a glass beer bottle.
Curtis places his bottle of fruit punch on the bench and stands up. He removes his backpack that opens it up and pulls out a large piece of cloth. He unravels the cloth to show a broken bottle that has blood dried on it.
Curtis - This very bottle. Before you ask Bam yes I saved it. I have stared at this half glass bottle since I regained consciousness in the hospital after your vicious attack. Every time I look at it all I'm reminded of is that evil look in your eyes and the fact that you were trying to end my career. That's a look I might be able to forgive but I will never forget. That's the look I want you to see on my face when we enter that ring next mayhem. A receipt for what you did to me is long overdue Mr. Miller. Now I promise I am going to do nothing to end your illustrious career because I do care about you and never want to see you hurt like the way you hurt me. I don't want you to mistake my kindness for weakness Mr. Miller. I am in no way going to take it easy on you and I'm going to try to hurt you a fraction of how you hurt me because unlike you I'm not an animal. I would never do what you did to me or to anyone in my life because you tried to take away everything that I love in this world. You tried to take away our friendship. You tried to take away my career. Ultimately whether you intended to or not you tried to take away my life. That is not something I take very lightly. You hurt me in a way no one ever has. I've said it before I know but it's so serious it needs to be stated once more. I want everyone to understand why I have to do what I plan on doing in that ring on Mayhem. Win or lose after the match it's done and over for good. No more hurt feelings, no more pain and no more fighting with each other. We leave it all in the ring once and for all. I could have seen you as a member of my family Bam. No not because you wanted to parade around like you are dating my mother. More like a brother and the way I see it is family fights then they make up and get over it and move on to bigger, better things. Pinky Promise after mayhem we are done fighting. Please Don't take what happens in that ring the wrong way. I'm not going to view you as a friend in that rand in that ring until the bell rings to end the match. You're an enemy who's standing in my way of rising back up the ranks here in the IIW.
Curtis stands up and begins walking back to his house.
Curtis - You did hit the nail on the head with one thing during your back-to-back interviews on the same day. You are absolutely correct that I can't wait to get my hands on you and that ring. I hope you're ready Mr. Miller because you're about to see a Curtis that you've never seen before. See you on Mayhem.
Curtis turns away and begins walking home as his vest is illuminated by the now on street lights. The screen fades to black.
