General Manager: Kalvin Dayspring
Kalvin Dayspring once had a very successful career as the face of a national promotion known as NCW, before the promotion went under in the early 2000s. Instead of working for the competition Dayspring took some time away to be with his family. Recognized as one of the best minds in the industry at the time he has spent his time since moving in and out of the independent scene as a booker, talent scout, promoter and other backstage roles in various companies. Everywhere he has went there has been a boom in popularity and success so it seemed like only a natural fit when he was announced as the man who would head up the IIW Combat Brand.
Play by Play Commentator: Alex Higgins
Alex Higgins started as a sportscaster from Kentucky who, after building a name for himself calling college football games, was signed to various independent promotions. Initially signed to be second-string play-by-play man and the under study of the great Troy James. He eventually ascended to be a primary commentator in 2019 where he drew tons of attention before being signed by IIW for the Combat Brand.
Color Commentator: Arthur B. Glass
Arthur B. Glass or "ABG" as he is better known is a fast-talking manager from Georgia who has made a career out of managing monstrous heels, especially ones he can put together in tag teams. His most famous run was when managing his stable "The Glass House" one of the most popular and savage stables in modern wrestling history. After the group disbanded he appeared sparsely as a personality on different promotions. He is known for his eye for talent and ability to get just about anyone over. He was recently signed to IIW to work color commentary on the Combat Brand.
Ring Announcer: Charity Langston
Charity Langston was a hopeful singer working her way up and trying to make a name for her in the music industry when she happened to meet her future husband Ric Young. Young was at the time a solid worker in the independent wrestling scene. This was how she fell in love with the sport and eventually began announcing Small events. Even after her husband suffered a career ending injury her career continued to blossom. She was eventually signed to IIW for the Combat Brand.
Backstage Interviewer: Ally Anderson
Ally Anderson never imagined working in the wrestling industry when she was little. She always dreamt of being a news hound. Getting the big scoop, taking down illegal drug rings and making big money corporations pay for their neglect of the environment. Sadly the news game isn't always like that, growing up in a small town she felt it hard to find any enjoyment at the local newspaper and near impossible to get a 'real' job as she called it. When bills started to pile up she started looking into other possibilities, her experience in journalism landed her working the dirt sheets for many of the independent wrestling promotions. Still she proved good at it, breaking big story after big story. That nose for news is what got her the gig at IIW working the angles backstage at Combat.
Backstage Interviewer: (Host of Byrd's Eye View) Jason Byrd
The legendary Jason Byrd, best known for running color commentary alongside the mouth piece of southern wrestling Troy James during the early 2000's. Most notable was his regular and typically controversial segment "Byrd's Eye View" where he would bring on hot wrestlers to help push and either start or build stories. He used this claim to fame to spring board him into a career at ESPN covering professional wrestling. Many thinking he would never return to work with a promotion again. Now in his late 50's he is more famous than ever and some how IIW managed to get him to help promote their new Combat Brand.
Head of Security: Carson Dunn
Former professional wrestler Carson Dunn once held up the World title of the now defunct Grand-Slam Wrestling. Despite his major success years of bad decisions have left him with a bit of a reputation and a record that most jobs wouldn't be able to get past. Still the wrestling industry isn't a normal place, with his history of success, respect of the locker room and general sour demeanor IIW has decided he was the perfect fit to help keep the peace on the upcoming Combat show.
