Post by Acheron "Headsman" Revok on May 21, 2021 17:30:35 GMT
Name of Wrestler: Acheron “Headsman” Revok
Picture Base: Stevie Richards
Wrestler Height: 6' 5"
Wrestler Weight: 245 lb
Age: 35
Theme Music: "Ouroboros is Broken" by Earth
Hometown: Salem, NH (not MA)
Style of Wrestling: Revok likes to keep close to opponents and is a master of the suplex, utilizing throws early in matches and switching over to those with bridges as matches wear on (especially Fisherman and Northern Lights), using his length as leverage to deflate opponents’ wills by letting a count approach 3 before breaking the bridge himself. Revok is also agile and willing to get aerial, sometimes taking ill-advised risks (especially on the outside).
Face|Heel|Neutral: Heel
Signature Move: Death from Above
Signature Description: Split-Legged Moonsault
Finisher Move: The Dull Axe
Finisher Description: Cradle Piledriver (sometimes of a Tombstone variation in big matches or if a table is involved)
Other Oft-Utilized Maneuvers: Superkick, Lifting Double Underhook DDT, Running Knee Strike, Air Raid Crash, Tiger Driver, Cloverleaf
Gimmick: A purveyor of the darkest kind of absurdist theater, Revok delivers brutality and misanthropy with an occasional smile under the midnight black executioner’s hood that he wears on the way to the ring. His imposing stature – composed more of height/length than bulk – is belied by a soft, stilted, and awkward voice, made so by a vicious attack he suffered at some point in the past that obliterated his vocal cords, which healed themselves, but out of place. His rage primarily stems from hatred he harbors towards the individual who was responsible for gashing his neck, but he also just likes to cause mayhem. Like any competitor, he prefers winning to losing, but leaving an opponent holistically broken is his primary goal. He also occasionally displays an odd and idiosyncratic sense of humor and often weaves iconography (especially relating to statues) into promos, when pondering his craft and/or opponent.
Background|History: Revok’s background is mysterious, even to him. Any description of his origins that he provides is likely more theory than reality. He came to wrestling in his late 20s after being permanently banned from the bareknuckle boxing circuit because he refused to mount any offense until he had been beaten to a bloody pulp, at which time he exploded and permanently injured many of his opponents with illegal suplex-like throws. He wrestled his way through some indies that showcased hardcore-style wrestling, and is ready to take the step up to IIW.
Entrance: The doom-marching drone of “Ouroboros is Broken” by Earth plays for 30 seconds as the lights slowly dim. Once Revok steps out, the dimmed lights turn a dark red and he slowly trudges to the ring with the executioner’s hood draped over his head. He climbs into the ring with little fanfare, tests the ropes on two sides of the ring, and lays on his side on the mat until the music fades and the light goes back up. When the lights are up completely, he removes the hood and awaits his opponent.
After a match, win or lose, he quickly exits the ring.
