Background|History: Moira is the daughter of a wrestler who never wanted to become a wrestler. She saw how a life on the road can take its toll on a family firsthand. She grew up barely knowing the man she would watch every week on RWF TV and had a mother who was gone nearly as often. Her mom was his manager, which meant the two of them would often leave her at her grandparent’s house. She was a resentful child who did not care how many titles her dad won, or how many t-shirts she would see at school with his name on it. She distanced herself from it all and focused on a passion in her life that would help distract her from it all: gymnastics. Though her father eventually settled down, and her parents would return to Ottawa full time, she never felt as though she truly mattered to them. Her father would still focus far too much on wrestling, becoming one of the head trainers at his friend’s wrestling school, while also moonlighting as a semi-regular on a Canadian soap opera. She was a good kid but would act out at home to “get back” at the feeling of being abandoned by her parents.
That all changed, however, once she was thrown off the Junior Olympic Qualifying team due to breaking curfew and drinking alcohol at a party. She threw away a huge opportunity to do something that she loved just because she felt the need to rebel. Though she was still young, she realized just how big of a mistake it was to continue going down the path she had been going down. She made a promise to herself to never succumb to the negative emotions that took away her dream. But it was that point in her life, nearing the end of High School, that she realized that she could not just dwell on the past and find something new to put herself into as much as she did gymnastics.
That is when she made the effort to reconcile with her parents. She knew that the first step in growing as a person was forgiving the two of them for being away so often when she was a child. She realized that they were just following their own dreams and were trying to provide a better life for her by excelling in those careers. After the three of them began talking more and building their relationships in a new positive light, she began to see why her father had such a passion for the wrestling business. She would visit his school, the Young Breed Academy, and see how much he got out of teaching and training new generations of young men and women who were chasing their own wild visions of stardom between the ropes. That is when she finally made a choice, one she thought she could be proud of again for a change, by enrolling in the YB Academy.
She spent the next two years of her life giving everything she had to professional wrestling, much in the same way she did gymnastics, and now believes that she is ready to venture off into the world of wrestling and make a name for herself. Her father was a former World Champion and left a legacy behind that she knows she will have to work hard to live up to. But it is something that she fully intends on doing, starting with the IIW.
Entrance: “Postulous” by Puscifer hits over the arena in unison flashing green and white strobes, as “The Absolute” Moira Arches makes her way from out of the curtains. She takes a few steps forward, lifts both of her arms into the air, and brings them down into her entrance pose just as the song kicks in.
She makes her way down to the ring, shaking her head and acknowledging the fans at ringside along the way, before climbing up the apron and getting into the ring. She does her pose once more on one side of the ring, before moving to the hard-cam to do the same.
