|| We are at The London Eye along with a million other tourists, except one man who is definitely not a tourist. That man is none other than Leyton Stone who is also sometimes referred to as the mechanic owing to his quick reflexes to fixing things that are broken and his penchant for carrying a wrench. Right now mister Stone is sat in one of the gondolas spinning in the overcast sky as the hidden sun tries its best to make itself known. He’s looking down at the floor, head almost between his legs taking some deep breaths. He pushes himself up by using his hands on his thighs and walks toward one part of the window, eyes closed until he almost bases the glass with his head, then he opens them. ||
You know too many times I’ve sat back and watched the little man get battered, didn’t matter what sport or discipline I was taking up it just seemed to happen. When I was training in judo, in karate and even when I had a stint doing mixed martial arts, but I have never seen so much bullying from the big blokes against the little men until I entered the world of professional wrestling.
|| Stone continues to stare out at the obscured skyline ahead of him before turning to face the centre of the gondola half smiling. ||
When I spoke to my agent last week and he told me there was a chance to come to the very famous IIW, I did not hesitate to get on the blower and contact Osh Vaughan only to find my call was not taken by mister Vaughan but instead by Melanie Jackson on behalf of Bob Mitchell. But in any case I told the lovely lady that Bob should be expecting me soon and so should all of you!
|| Leyton walks back toward the glass and peers out with difficulty, he runs his hand through his almost bald head and strokes his chin as he turns back. ||
You see, just like that out there boys and girls the future is very murky and it’s very misty and nobody including myself knows what’s going to come out of it. But I’m coming to Manchester and the IIW to set wrongs right and fix things that are broken. Am I going to be looking for you then? Well, if the shoe fits then I suppose you’re gonna have to wear it ain’t ya? I look forward to meeting each and every one of ya, but I wouldn’t suggest you feel the same way because believe me you definitely won’t feel that way when do set eyes on one another.
|| Leyton let’s out a small chuckle before turning back towards the glass placing a hand on it and leans in pressing his forehead against it too as the scene ends. ||
