right, if your new to efedding or just want to look here for help, I'm going to help you lot all with a basic structure of a roleplay.
The roleplay i am going to do is a standard entrance in the ring promo.
This is the basics of the roleplay.
1.Entrance
2.Crowd Interaction
3.Hype The Match
4.Talk About Your Opponent
5.Talk about anything else on your mind
6.Make a few ending concise points possibly concluding what you've already said.
7.Leave.
From the list above, 3 and 4 are the most important and really need to have the most effort put into them. 1 and 7 are the weakest points in a sense, but you can really go to town on your entrance creating a very good image in the readers head.
Right Time For A BASIC Roleplay
[1] Joe Blogg's music hits and he makes his way to the ring.
[2]The Crowd cheer on Joe Bloggs
[3]Joe: This match I am against TC Hughes, I am looking for a victory because I am the best in the buisness, I am unstopperble!
[4]TC Hughes is rubbish! he is crap! He cant wrestle for the life of him!
[5]Once I am done with TC Hughes, I will win the world title.
[6][7]
Notice 6 and 7 have not been included there as he has not said he has left the ring nor has he summed anything up.
Now For A Standard Roleplay
[1] Who We Be by DMX begins to blast out on the IIW's P.A system, the [2]crowd begin to cheer as they await the entrance of possible one of the most enigmatic and high flying superstars the IIW has ever seen!
[2] The crowd erupt as Joe Bloggs makes his way out, he signals to the crowd on the stage before quickly running down to the ring, he slides into the ring and goes to the corner of the ring and crosses his arms above his head, showing off his trademark move, the camera pan's accross the arena as they can see all the fans with their arms crossed above their head's all following Joe's actions.
[3]Joe finally returns to the middle of the ring, he has a smile on his face, [2]he looks up at the crowd and can hear them chanting his name.
Joe: Well Fans Of the IIW I am out here tonight for more than one reason, not just am I looking to entertain the fans.... But I have some buisness this monday....His name is TC Hughes.... It may be just a standard match in the federation, but it is one I am up for, it's time to show the fan's what i'm made of!
[4] with [3] blended in |
Joe: Now TC Hughes may be huge, or sorry Hughes, ha,ha... but anyway. He's a big guy, sure, but everyone knows about the classic David and Goliath story, I have the speed, the agility, all the aspects of a professional wrestler....What does TC have? He's tall and he's a bit podgy! He tries to get around backstage because he's this big 7 footer guy, well he's about to learn this coming monday that, just because he's big doesn't mean he's going to have it easy, He's going to find it very tough. He has some ability no doubt, but remember i've got the crowd watcing my back and with them here I cant fail.
[5]After this match, I'm hoping i will get what i deserve and a crack at the world title! I've shown Osh what i'm made of, look at my past results and the long list of my accomplishments! Osh hopefully will recognise and bring me to the main event which is where i deserve to be!
[6]So be ready TC Hughes, This match, is going to be an ice breaker, It's the match to propell me to the main event, I look forward to facing you TC Hughes, because you may have doubts about this match, but i can guarantee you that I have no doubts about my ability in the ring and I will i mean WILL be walking away from the match after having my arm raised by the ref!
[7]Joe Bloggs drops his microphone and begins to head to the back with his music playing and his fans cheering him on.
- Right that's a standard roleplay, that's pretty much what we look for, I'm sure with practice you will pick new things up that are not included in here, One of the main points i've not covered in here is "Description" I've mentioned a bit about it but not much, The key to taking your roleplays to another level up is to describe what you can, keep the reader involved, let them know what your doing, but DONT over do it... over doing it can make it to boring and put the reader off.
Right i hope this has helped.
