Sunday night, November 28th
Ada Pierce, Vickie Burke and her father sit in a private booth at a local pub, celebrating Ada’s huge win alongside Solace Tatum against Mercedes and Jolie Vexx. As ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries plays in the background, all three down their drinks, making the most of the night before it’s all said and done. “I was worried we wouldn’t be able to do this tonight. Things kinda got crazy out there tonight, didn’t they?” claims Ada as huge smile refuses to leave her face, glad to not be spending another night in the doctor’s office after a match. “I can’t quite put into words how proud you made me tonight. Both of us.” the Sensei responds as his daughter Vickie smiles at him before turning to her best friend. “Tonight was about more than your personal beef with Mercedes, A. What you and Solace did sent a message to the entire locker room. Casie got her title back, Solace gets her hands on Jolie at the PPV… hell yeah you made us proud.” Vickie states as she fist-bumps Ada, forcing a genuine and humbled laugh out of the Karateka. “I’m glad to hear that, Vicks. Sensei. I bumped into Leana Wilcox after the show, one of the two interviewers for First Class. Apparently I’m doing a sit-down interview with her.” Ada informs her friends as Vickie furrows her brows. “Goddammit, I was gonna ask you to do my podcast when we got to New York for Noreaster! Was gonna show you my swanky studio and everything.” Vickie states as she slams her fist on the table, causing her father and Ada to laugh. “Hey, I can still do that! This one’s gonna be taped. Supposed to air on the PPV pre-show or something like that.” Ada continues before Vickie responds. “Think they’ll ask about Solace? Jolie? …Maybe Casie and Steph?” Vickie asks as Ada leans back on her seat as a serious expression forms on her face. “Jolie’s not my problem anymore. Solace has that in the bag, no way she’s losing. I can’t say I didn’t have ill-feelings towards Casie… but I think those fizzled out. Call me a fool but I think Casie, Steph… dunno. Starting to believe they really did change.” ponders Ada as she trails off, allowing Sensei Burke to jump in. “I wouldn’t call you a fool at all. After all, wasn’t this your goal? To be a harbinger of change after what Mercedes did to you?” Wise words from the Sensei, causing his student to nod in agreement. A good reminder for Ada, who’s found herself swept up in the overarching drama of First Class in recent months. It’s that drama that has made Ada feel like the walls have slowly been closing in on her, refusing to allow her a moment to breathe and collect her thoughts. But tonight is that moment. It’s the calm before the storm that is Noreaster, taking place in Vickie Burke’s hometown, New York in none other than Madison Square Garden. Despite all this, none of the anxiety, none of the stress Ada’s been struggling with for months now is there. It’s all gone. After meeting her tormentor, Mercedes, and trading blows with her in the ring, a newfound sense of clear purpose is all Ada feels within. Gone is the fear, replaced with nothing but bravery and strength. “Earth to Ada!” yells Vickie, causing Ada to snap out of it. Pierce smiles as she grabs her bottle of beer, taking a quick sip before deciding to put her experience of teaming with Solace into words. “Y’know, I should be in the doctor’s office right now. I wouldn’t have been able to win and do everything I did tonight if it wasn’t for Solace.” continues the Karateka as her tear ducts start going to work. “Hell, wouldn’t have been able to even team up with her if it wasn’t for you two. Wouldn’t have been able to make it this far in my life if I didn’t have you. So… Vickie… Sensei… Sam. Thank you.” she concludes as Vickie’s eyes widen at the fact that Ada just addressed her father by his first name. Sensei Samuel Burke, however, isn’t bothered in the slightest. It’s been years since he took Ada in as his student, yet due to her discipline and incredible respect for him, she’s never addressed him by his first name. But it seems that they’re beyond the “Mentor and Student” phase of their relationship.“Did hell freeze over? Did you just call my dad ‘Sam’?” questions Vickie as Ada immediately retorts with a simple “Don’t make it weird, Vicks.”, causing the Sensei to laugh. “I’m just sayin’. How long have we known each other and it’s always been Sensei this, Sensei that. Screw that noise, A. You’re the sister I always wished I had. And I know this stone-faced old fool thinks of you as his daughter too.” she continues, causing her dad’s face to turn red. “Glad we’re on the same page. Cheers, guys.” responds Ada as she holds her bottle up, smiling at her friends. Her family. December 5th, 2021: Vickie Burke’s Studio, New York City Ada Pierce finds herself in Vickie Burke’s studio, making good on her promise to do her best friend’s podcast to promote the Noreaster PPV. At this point, they must’ve been recording for over an hour as Vickie’s gone in-depth over her relationship with Ada, one of the fastest rising stars in all of IIW. She’s interviewed tons of people in the entertainment industry, from actors, stand-up comedians all the way to stunt artists. But this episode is different. It’s a personal one. A guest she’s known her entire life. However, they’ve avoided some of the personal topics that Ada has already gone into detail on during her recorded sit-down interview that’s set to air during Noreaster, using the podcast as a means to further the buzz around the second First Class PPV. However, as Vickie prepares to wrap up, she decides it’s time to talk about her best friend’s upcoming high-stakes match against Mercedes.
“Well, we’ve been goin’ for over a full hour, goddamn. So it’s time, A.”
“It’s time?”
“It’s time. Time to get serious. Mercedes-Jane Debonair.” The mere mention of her name causes Ada’s veins to nearly explode out of her forehead. She grabs the microphone, bringing it closer to her lips to make sure every word that comes out of her mouth is as loud and as clear as it can be. “This… unhinged woman has been living rent-free in your head almost as soon as you made your professional wrestling debut and you finally get her, one-on-one at Noreaster on the 12th. So my question is… what’re you gonna do?”Ada chuckles before deeply breathing in, shutting her eyes as she exhales. “I can curse here, right?” she asks, prompting a laugh out of the nodding Vickie. “To anyone not watching the video version of this, she nodded so I’m in the clear. Well, Vicks. Bestie. Sis. ‘Fam. Simply put: I’m gonna kick her fucking head in.” the Karateka emphatically states as a near-sadistic grin forms on the face of Vickie Burke. “Sensei, your father, has taught me well. See, I’m not dumb. If any of your listeners watched our Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right, Family Feud version of First Class, they’d know that little shit nearly ended me right then and there.” she continues as she tightens her fist, her eyes slowly reddening. “If it wasn’t for Solace Tatum, I wouldn’t be in this studio right now. I’d be on the shelf. So I’d love to come in here and say I’m gonna beat her and be sure of it, but this is the same woman that frisbee’d a bloody hammer into my leg to screw me out of winning the Evolution Championship. The same woman that nearly slammed me face-first into a mirror. Like who the hell keeps stashing that thing under the ring? Porcelain? I bet it was Porcelain.” Pierce continues as Burke chuckles, shaking her head. “I gotta ask… are you afraid of Mercedes?” Ada furrows her brows, licking her lip as she takes a moment to think about that question before answering it. It doesn’t take long for her know what the answer is as a half-smile forms on her face. “When I shut Jamie Riott up a few months back and immediately found myself getting the crap kicked out of me due to her orders… I might’ve said yes. But after everything… the gauntlet… what she did to Casie… her alliance with Jolie… I feel like all the self-doubt, all the paranoia… it’s just gone, Vicks.” states Ada as she brings the mic even closer to her face. “Might’ve been a time I was scared of her. Might’ve been a time I was intimidated of her owning a voodoo doll that looked a lot like me leading up to the Gauntlet Match I was screwed out of. But do you know what I feel right now? What I feel after I pinned her on First Class?”A few moments of silence pass by as Vickie holds her breath, staring deeply into Ada’s fiery eyes. “Nothing. Absolutely nothing.” Pierce states as the half-smile turns to a full-smile. “Your father, my Sensei… he always told me to never think I’ve won the battle until my hand was raised as the victor. But Jolie’s reluctance to give me this match even after I bashed Mercedes’ head in? That told me everything I needed to know. What I don’t know is whether or not the match will go down as planned. If Mercy’s got any magical surprises in store for me. But I’ll be courteous here and tell her to watch her back. I’ll do her a favor. I’ll do your listeners a favor and tell her and them what they can expect from me come December 12th. Win or lose, she’s gonna be stepping in the ring with me. Not the Karateka. Not a wrestler. Just the wrong woman she decided to fuck with.”“Ada Pierce… Thank you for coming on the show.” Vickie smiles back at Ada. Never before has she seen her best friend this angry, this motivated to leave everything she’s got in the ring. Come Noreaster… the final piece of the puzzle will fall into place and the world will know exactly what Ada Pierce is capable of. But most importantly… Mercedes will see no mercy.

The Grand Finale Chapter 1 - Self-Actualization Burke’s Dojo - December 3rd, 2021 - 11:42 PM In the dead of the night, Ada Pierce exhausts her energy into the speedbag that’s been set-up in the corner of Burke’s Dojo, the very same one that caused her to push herself past her limits before passing out prior to her match against Stephanie LaCroix for the Evolution title. ‘Fight Kicks’ by Konrad Oldmoney & Sleep Steady blasts out the HomePod Mini set up in the corner of the room as Ada sweats bullets, having decided against wearing her earbuds this time to listen to her breathing, letting her body guide her during training to avoid collapsing again. It’s been several hours since Ada decided to train the night away as Mercedes-Jane Debonair, regrettably, continues to live rent-free in the Karateka’s mind, prompting her to deal with it the only way she knows how. Unfortunately, the music is abruptly stopped, causing Pierce to turn around before spotting Sensei Sam Burke holding her phone. “Figured you were here. Do you know how many times I called you?” asks the concerned Sensei as Pierce cracks a smile. “It’s alright, Sensei. You’ve got nothing to worry about.” answers the Karateka. Despite the irrefutable feeling of deja vu, this familiar scenario does not play out the way the Sensei expects it to. The giveaway is Ada’s smile. It isn’t a fake smile designed to dodge his concerns. It’s a genuine, confident smile. “I get the concern. Really, I do. I’m usually in here losing my mind at this time. Sorry I didn’t answer your calls. I just needed to set that damn thing to ‘Do Not Disturb’ and I’m not afraid to admit that.” she continues as she sits on the floor, crossing her legs as the Sensei does the same. “I’ve made peace with who I am, the way I am, Sensei. No matter what I do, I’m always gonna worry. I’m always gonna think of a million different scenarios where everything could go wrong. It’s who I’ve always been, innit?” she continues as she wipes the sweat off her forehead. “But something’s… clicked with me ever since I teamed with Solace Tatum. When my mind does its thing, I come back here. I train. I blast music out to drown the voices out. But honestly… I just realized that I haven’t been afraid for a week now. I’m just… angry.”
The Sensei furrows his brows in response, having been worrying that Ada is beginning to lose sight of who she is. Despite that, he decides to listen. For once, Ada’s speaking her mind, letting it all out without the need for constant prodding to get her to just… talk. And so she talks. “When I joined First Class, all I wanted to do was make people smile. Make you proud, represent this dojo we’ve worked so hard to build. But it didn’t end up being so simple, heh. If it was only that simple.” bluntly states Pierce, zoning out for a moment before continuing. “I know you may not like where I’m going with this, but it’s the truth. A big part of why I’ve been losing my bloody mind is my need to figure out the hopeful, pacifist route of dealing with someone like Mercedes. But honestly? There isn’t one. And I’ve accepted that. What I won’t do, however, is fail you. Fail Vickie. Fail our students. I’m never, ever doing that. I’ll make you proud. And the first step to making all of you proud is by drawing a line in the sand.” Burke continues to listen as he witnesses his student truly breaking out of her cocoon for the first time. Unable to hold it back, a smile forms on his face as Ada continues with a stern expression on her face. “What brought me to you was that night when I was sucker punched by a bully for defending Vickie. It was the night I realized I had to become a stronger person to defend and protect the ones I love. That’s the message I wanted to send to people. If it wasn’t for what you did, I would’ve never come here. I would’ve never found the family I always wished I had when I was a little girl. So… Mercedes? I was so angry when I realized that she came after me just to make a statement. She forced Casie to put me through a table, slammed my skull down on the table over, over and over again. Literally spit on me after she was done.” Ada recounts the events that started this war between her and Mercedes as her eyes water, her fist shaking. “All of that… was to send a message to someone else. But you know what, Sam?” asks Ada as she smiles. “I’m not angry at that anymore. What Mercedes doesn’t know is she taught me one of the most valuable lessons that night.” Burke takes a deep breath as his concern for his student’s mental wellbeing reaches an all time high. “What on earth could Ada have learned from someone as unhinged and evil as Mercedes-Jane Debonair?” he wonders, but refrains from saying it out loud. Despite the urge to speak and scold Ada for even thinking about picking something up from Mercedes’ dark, twisted playbook, he opts to let Ada finish. “What she taught me, what she made me realize… is that there’s a loooootta people out there suffering at the hands of pieces of shit like her.” Ada bluntly and angrily states as she starts to literally shake with fury in her eyes. “Come Noreaster… I hope you can forgive me, Sensei. Because I’m gonna do something you may disagree with, but it’s something I believe in. I’m gonna do what Mercedes did. I’m gonna use her to make a statement. I’m gonna do what you did for me. The gloves are off. For every single person out there like her, I’m doing this to send a message to them, and the message is simple. Careful who you mess with. Careful who you bully, who you attack. Because Karma will catch up to you and it’ll become an obstacle you can’t overcome.” the Karateka states before rising up, standing up as she looks down on her Sensei. “I’m that Karma. Mercedes is my sacrifice. And unfortunately… the only way I’ll be able to hammer that message home… is by breaking that bitch in half.” Ada bows to Sensei Burke before walking away to collect her belongings and head home as the Sensei remains seated on the floor, his legs crossed, motionless. Stunned. He has never seen his student, the woman he’s come to care for as if she was his own daughter, this motivated, this confident in her plans. But at what cost…?
Chapter 2 - The Interview Leana Wilcox Sits Down with Ada Pierce (Noreaster Web Exclusive) - Released on December 11th, 2021.
We open to a promotional recap video package as ‘Deliver Us From Evil’ by Blind Guardian plays over footage of Mercedes-Jane Debonair, complimenting the echo of her voice as she asks “Tell me… have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moonlight?” before the song kicks into full gear as a distorted version of the Netflix opening plays out. What follows is a montage of all the First Class women she’s targeted over the course of the year since her debut. Synchronized with the sinister intro of ‘Deliver Us From Evil’, we transition from Mercedes landing “No Mercy” on Solace Tatum after she was crowned Queen of the Ring, Mercedes executing “Merciless” on Lien Xinya with a broomstick, using said broomstick to send Katia Fyre flying off the stage and onto a heap of production equipment. Debonair’s cackling echoes as we witness a recap of the witch landing a Swinging Reverse STO on Lien Xinya, smashing her face against a full-sized mirror. The disturbing visual of Xinya’s blood leaking onto the broken glass slowly fades into a close-up of Mercedes’ crazed eyes as she cackles, admiring her work and the victims she’s claimed week after week. Once more, we cut to another quick montage of Mercedes’ rampage as we cut to footage of her cracking a broomstick against Sukeban Ichiko’s skull before cutting to Mercedes smashing a steel chair down on Robin Vengeance’s leg, over, over and over again before finally ending it with a chair-assisted “Merciless”. Finally, the final piece of footage proves to be the final piece of the puzzle as we witness Mercy slamming Ada Pierce’s skull down on a broken table without a semblance of mercy. As Mercedes walks away from Ada’s broken form, Lena Wilcox’s voice echoes as she yells “Not again!!! When will this stop?!” The distorted Netflix opening stinger plays out once more before turning to static, moments before the screen cuts to black… until six words fade in…
We pan away to reveal the words on a busted-up, smoking arcade machine, barely functioning in the middle of a dark room, a single blue spotlight shining down on it. Eventually, the sounds of footsteps draw ever closer before a woman walks past us, stopping in front of the arcade machine. She reaches deep into her pockets before pulling out a single coin. We cut to a close-up of her hand as it inserts the coin into the arcade cabinet.
‘Eye of the Storm’ by Battle Beast plays as we fade to backstage footage of Ada Pierce making her debut against Kassidy Owens, a nervous wreck walking through the curtains to open the August 22nd, 2021 edition of First Class. As the spotlight shines down on the debuting Karateka, she squints, but upon hearing the fans’ explosive cheers for the first time, she smiles before making her way down the ramp as the first verse of ‘Eye of the Storm’ begins. Despite Owens’ attempt to make Pierce fight to the death for her first IIW paycheck, the Karateka prevails as we’re treated to a montage of Pierce’s picture-perfect karate kicks landing on target, capped off by the first-ever televised Spinning Heel Kick “K.O.!” finisher knocking Kassidy out cold, giving Ada her first ever First Class victory, a shocked expression formed on her face as the referee raises her hand in victory. Cutting to the September 19th, 2021 edition of First Class, another brutal montage plays out as highlights of Ada Pierce taking Jamie Riott on in a Back Alley Brawl as the second pre-chorus of ‘Eye of the Storm’ begins, complimenting Pierce’s fiery and brutal offense, taking it upon herself to stop Jamie after she decided to verbally kick Victoria McKenzie while she was down, giving us the first example of Ada’s lack of tolerance for bullies. We cut to Ada wrapping a power cord around Jamie’s neck, choking her out as the chorus plays over the Karateka’s battle cry. But the moment that started this whole thing comes next as The Coven attack Ada after her battle with Riott, sending her crashing through a table as Battle Beast’s guitar solo plays over footage of the Karateka enduring the worst punishment imaginable courtesy of Mercedes-Jane Debonair & Casie Debonair during their attack, Jamie Riott smashing a light tube over Pierce’s skull, ambushing the Karateka before the Gauntlet match on the October 3rd, 2021 edition of First Class, it all crescendoes to Ada Pierce’s rage exploding as loudly as the chorus that follows the guitar solo of ‘Eye of the Storm’. Another montage follows, displaying Ada’s skills and capability to match her opponent’s brutality, footage of the bloodied Pierce using the barbed wire ropes to dismantle Jamie Riott at Malevolence, landing kick after kick on Denise DiMarco to the highly-contested match against Stephanie LaCroix for the Evolution title, all the way to tag team match between Ada Pierce and Solace Tatum against Mercedes-Jane Debonair and Jolie Vexx. As the video package winds down to come to a close, Jolie Vexx’s voice drowns ‘Eye of the Storm’ out over the footage of Pierce pump-kicking Mercedes as she asks “What do you want?!” before Ada Pierce cracks a giant smile as she looks down on the barely-conscious Mercedes. “No! Absolutely not!!” screams Jolie as we cut to a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it highlight reel of Mercedes slamming Ada’s skull down on the broken table to the heated exchange of strikes between them during the tag match. Finally, Jolie concedes to Ada as she holds Mercedes hostage, threatening to pump-kick her once more before she gets exactly what she wants. “Fine! Fine! Noreaster, you… Versus Mercedes!!!” Vexx bellows out as the video package comes to a close on the visual of Ada Pierce standing over Mercedes on the ramp before we fade to black…Intermission…
After the explosive recap of Mercedes and Ada’s stories thus far, we fade back in to a warmly-lit room as Ada Pierce sits across from Leana Wilcox. With a smile on her face, Leana expresses her gratitude towards Ada for agreeing to do this. “Ada Pierce, thank you for agreeing to this.” opens Leana with a simple greeting.
“My pleasure, Leana.” responds the Karateka as she smiles back. “First off, I wanted to wish you luck on the upcoming Ice Crown Tournament. By the time this comes out, the announcement will have been made and people will finally know what you meant when you told Ash Quinn that you will not be taking any time off.” continues Leana as Ada laughs, her eyes widening.
“God, it feels great to be able to talk about it. Yes, the cat’s out of the bag and I will indeed be taking part of the Ice Crown Tournament. I don’t think I’ve publicly said this before, but I was initially expecting IIW to have a shared locker room between the ladies and the boys, so this is an exciting time for me.” Ada states as her excitement can be felt in the air. “Is it a big deal for you to be able to take on not just members of the Mayhem locker room, but newcomers and familiar faces alike?” asks Leana as she tilts her head. “Absolutely. There’s a voice in my head thats eats away at me, asking “are you good enough to hang with the entirety of the IIW?” so it’ll be great to finally have an answer to that question!” Ada answers excitedly. “And, apart from the gauntlet match that you technically lost due to the medical team refusing to clear you after Jamie Riott ambushed you, you have yet to be pinned or submitted since your debut. So I can imagine the pressure you must be feeling.” Leana pressures Ada with her hard hitting question. “Admittedly, yes. Only a fool wouldn’t be worried if they were in my shoes, and it’s not even just about me. It’s about representing the entirety of the talented locker room we have in First Class.” answers Ada with a hint of naïveté, prompting Leana to press further. “Maybe not the *entirety* of the locker room, no? Considering Mercedes-Jane Debonair is a member of our roster.” Leana continues as Ada rolls her eyes, realizing it’s time we move on from discussing the upcoming tournament and tackle the real reason why this interview is taking place. “Mm. Good ol’ Mercy.” states the Karateka as she trails off, assumedly biting her tongue to stop herself from yelling out every single obscenity in the book. “You’ve really taken it upon yourself to go after her, haven’t you?” asks Leana, knowing exactly what she’s doing by asking this question. “Do you blame me?” asks Ada as she raises an eyebrow, only for Leana to simply shake her head. “I’ve said this before, but this isn’t even about me at this point. It’s about all the women that little sh*t has gone after. The fact that she’s turned our very own general manager into her puppet, interfering in title matches, putting women on the shelf, making the Queen of the Ring’s life a living nightmare.” continues Ada before Leana cuts in. “Speaking of the Queen, it looks like you’ve allied yourself with Triumvirate.” asks Leana as she leans back. “I wouldn’t say I’ve become a member of Solace’s faction, got some trust issues, don’t blame me. But we have a common enemy in Mercedes-Jane. Had a common enemy in The Coven before they “saw the light” and announced their plans to atone for their sins.” Pierce continues, slightly scoffing at the idea that someone can go from evil to good at the drop of a hat. “You don’t buy it?” Leana follows up with a simple question. “I didn’t. But for now, I’m not worried about Casie or Steph. Casie… the verdict’s out. We’ll see what happens in the future. Steph? I think I’m beginning to believe her. The woman I faced at Battle on the Atlantic was honourable. She fought tooth and nail to defend her title. All I’ll say is some people are worn by their championship belts, but Steph proved that she’s the one who’s wearing the Evolution Championship. She earned my respect.” bluntly states Ada. “Many argued that you had a strong chance at winning that very championship until Mercedes decided to ruin the night for the both of you.” prods Leana as Ada balls her right hand into a fist. “Yeah. She did, didn’t she? Not that she didn’t pay for it. Tomorrow, I get on a plane and fly out of here to New York City. Madison Square Garden. Noreaster. Thanks to Solace, I was able to get exactly what I wanted out of the boss lady.” states Ada as she leans forward, cracking an almost malicious smile. “You and Mercedes in the middle of the ring. One on One.” states Leana. “Precisely that. No Coven. No weapons. No broomsticks, no mirrors. Just me, these fists, these legs and Mercedes-Jane Debonair’s sorry-ass head.” Pierce continues as her smile grows wider. “A loaded question, but I’ll ask it nonetheless… your prediction?” asks Leana, unloading her final question as Ada Pierce chuckles. “Mercedes’ head leaves her body. There’s the prediction. Because you see, Leana… what got me to become the fighter I am today is the existence of pathetic, insecure bullies who’re exactly like Mercedes-Jane. No purpose. No goal. Just a need, a desire to see the world burn. To make others suffer for their own amusement. I don’t abide by that. No one on this planet should abide. We shouldn’t sit there and let these people run roughshod all over everyone, breaking the rules and dictating them as they see fit. F**k every single part of that. When I came here, I was all smiles, all peace signs, smiling and waving at the fans. People like Mercedes perceive this to be a weakness. I’m still that same person, don’t get me wrong. But everything I’ve done, from my new gear to my new walkout music to my last Combat match… it’s all a part of a design influenced by Mercedes herself. The greatest revenge, the greatest retaliation against the likes of her is giving her a taste of her own medicine. But I prefer to take that medicine and shove it so far down a bully’s throat that they’ll never ever dish it out to others ever again. Come Noreaster, a question that’s been on my mind ever since she came after me will be answered. Personally? I know what the answer is. But I’ll pose the question to you and to everyone watching… Mercedes has proved that she can dish it… but will she be able to take it…?” asks Pierce as she raises an eyebrow, her smile growing. “I look forward to calling the match and finding out the answer to that very question. Good luck, Ada.” concludes Leana. “Thanks, Leana. I’ll make sure to give you a show you’re never gonna forget.” states Ada with a confidence we’ve never seen out of her before. As Leana extends a hand, Ada takes it, shaking it as we fade to black… …But before the Noreaster Web Exclusive comes to a close, we find ourselves back in the dark room with the arcade cabinet. On the very same screen that had the game over text, we see that it’s been replaced by a high-score leaderboard. Too small to make out, we slowly pan in before finally stopping as the arcade screen takes up the entire frame. At #2, we see a name: “Mercedes-Jane Debonair”. At #1, we see another name: “Ada Pierce”. The screen fades to black for the last time.
