We open to see John Tolly sitting on the edge of a bed in a hotel room, he gives what can only be described as an evil smile as he looks up into the camera.
John: Tell me Rogue, what was going through your mind this past Sunday? I can only imagine as you lay there adrenaline pumping through your body as you try to catch your breath after such a brutal hard fought war? Did you give a sigh of relief as you heard the ring announcer, say "Your winner and STILL,IIW television champion..! Did you think that was it?
Tolly leans forward looking directly into the camera
John: I'm sure after the war you had just been through you were hoping for just a nice easy title defense on Mayhem. Then reality came and bitch slapped you in the face.
John leans back against the wall
John: Lets be honest Rogue you've had a hell of a run as TV champ. undefeated for...how long now? and you've been on top of the ranking for..well....as long as i've been here?but....
Tolly shrugs his shoulders
John: Reality, reality can hurt, it can be humiliating. Especially when you are faced with the reality that you are not the best. I AM!
He takes his index finger poking his chest for emphasis.
John: I am the best technical wrestler in the WORLD!
Tolly shifts his body weight on the bed
John: oh I know what you're thinking. It's all hyperbole right.
Tollly shakes his head.
John: in that ring there is NO ONE better than me and I am going to prove it, when I do what no one else has been able to do and at the end as you lay there once again trying to catch your breath, your head throbing from yet another Champaign dream ddt. You will once again hear the ring announcer but this time you will here...Your winner and....NEW IIW Television Champion...
He leans forward getting mere inches from the camera giving a evil smile
John:me.
the scene fades to black.

The scene opens up in a common area of a luxury Marriott resort somewhere in Central Florida. It's some time around afternoon and guests of the hotel are busy wandering around the resort. Some of the guests are decked out in Disney clothing, carrying the big mouse ear items, obviously there on vacation. Rogue and Cora are shown sitting in a booth style table, coffees in elegant mugs steaming in front of both of them. Rogue leans over to blow on his coffee to cool it down. He winces in pain as he does so.
Rogue - Ahh. Shit.
Cora - You okay?
Rogue - Still feeling battered and bruised, but getting better. Every day, feeling a bit better. That Phoenix brought it this time. Better than last time.
Cora - But you still got it done. You still have the belt.
Rogue takes a drink from his steaming mug.
Rogue - That I do.
Cora sips from her mug.
Rogue - Then that asshole John Tolly decided to take a shot at me when I couldn't even stand. I could hardly carry my own weight, and this guy chooses that as his perfect time to take a swipe. Shows how low his confidence must be.
Cora - So low.
Rogue - If he wanted to make a statement, he should have waited for me to heal at least.
Cora - At the very least. What a coward.
Rogue and Cora sit in silence for a few seconds, blowing on their steaming mugs.
Rogue - Five wins and zero losses.
Cora - You're on fire. It's amazing to watch.
Rogue - And the streak will continue. I'm not about to let a guy like that take this belt from me. Sure, he's good. Hes talented, but who had he beat? Has he beat the people I've beaten?
Lets go down the list....
...Barone...big deal....
Nitro...Hawkins, both top guys...
Stoner, the legend... impressive...
Then Anthony Phoenix.... TWICE!
Cora - TWICE! No kidding, Rogue. What a run thus far.
Rogue - And the run will continue. John Tolly is talented, and it ends there. He doesn't have what it takes to beat a guy like me and take this belt.
I've worked too hard. I've come too far. I've built too much of a resume. This is just a pit stop for us. Another check in the win column. That's all it is.
He stuck his nose where it didn't belong. He bit off more than he can chew. He will just have to learn that the hard way.
Cora - Like the handful before him.
Rogue - We'll see if he can hang like the others did.
Cora - Yup. We'll see.
They both take big drinks from their mugs, as guests scurry around in the background.
Rogue - Now we enjoy the little things. Until it's time to defend the belt. It's the little things that got us this far. Lets enjoy them.
Cora - It's always the little things.
Perhaps John Tolly doesn't have the little things to enjoy himself, so he made this mistake of coming for you. It's his big shot.
Rogue - Well he won't be able to enjoy it.
Rogue leans back in the booth style seat and crosses his hands behind his head. Cora leans over and kisses him on the cheek. The scene ends.

It's one night away from Rogue's title defense. Cora and Rogue are sitting in the bed of his truck behind the arena, enjoying a pretty, brisk night. With their backs leaned up against the front of the truck bed (closest to the cab), they take puffs from small cigars. A Samsung Galaxy phone is propped up in front of them as they watch a podcast on Youtube.
Cora - It's getting a little chilly out here. Just from the breeze.
Rogue takes off his leather jacket and wraps it around Cora.
Cora - Thanks. You're not cold?
Rogue - Not really. I'm good. When I start picturing my matches, I don't really think of anything else. The weather, whatever.. I'm juat visualizing myself beating Tolly and bringing this belt back home.
Cora - I like your focus. I enjoy watching you daydream about your matches.
Rogue - Shit, I learned it from you. I mean, I always did it a little bit, but making a ritual out of it like this.... I learned it from you. Grabbing a drink and a cigar, parking by a nice view, and being with your significant other. You're preparing while sharing a cool moment.
It's the little things....
Cora - The little things.... Always.
Cora grabs onto Rogue's bicep area. She leans over and gives him a kiss on the cheek.
Rogue - Tomorrow night, I'm going in and leaving as champion. John Tolly has no say in the matter.
Cora - The streak continues.
Rogue - It continues.
Rogue takes a nice puff of his cigar and slowly releases the smoke towards the camera.
